I provide full, step-by-step guidance for getting your website hosted, from choosing an option through publishing the site and checking that it is online. You choose and own the hosting and domain accounts, and pay providers directly; I do not resell hosting or domains.
- Free hosting: I can explain GitHub Pages and guide you through the steps to publish your static website with its free
github.io web address.
- A handover from my GitHub: if useful, I can initially publish the site from my GitHub account, then guide you through transferring the website repository to your GitHub account and taking over.
- Your own domain: domain names can cost as little as £2 for an introductory period. Prices depend on the domain ending and provider, and renewal prices can be higher.
- Paid hosting and custom domains: I can help you compare the setup options and guide you through your provider’s setup, including connecting your domain to the website through a provider such as Fasthosts. You keep control of your accounts and pay the provider directly.
I’ll explain each step and help you work through the initial setup. This is guidance, not ongoing hosting management or a guarantee against provider outages. You keep your own account access and should never send me your passwords.
Business and Premium packages can include one booking system or hosted payment portal. These use a third-party provider’s booking pages or hosted checkout, so I do not build a payment backend or handle card details. The provider account, any transaction or subscription fees, and service terms remain the client’s responsibility. We will agree the provider and confirm the integration is suitable before work begins.
- Provider costs: hosting, domain registration and third-party service charges are paid by you directly to the relevant provider.
- Ongoing responsibility: hosting outages, provider failures and changes made to the code by others remain outside the website package.
